Out to Sea

I finished this over the weekend (or on the weekend):) I used Simplicity pattern number 3750. This is the third time I've made it, but only the second time it was successful:) I was going for a nautical inspired look, and this used to have sleeves. But they didn't seem quite' right', so off they came. I think it still looks all right, though not what I imagined when I matched the fabric to the pattern. I'm wearing this with some trouser jeans (or is it jean trousers??) I picked up at a garage sale.
Sorry about the blurry photo(s). It figures the only good one is blurry!:)

  1. you are so talented! i'm impressed. i made a pair of pants once, but hated how they fit ... or didn't fit i should say. and that was the end of sewing except for buttons and holes in the knees.

  2. So, so cute. I could most definitely see someone wearing the entire ensemble for a day of sailing on the high seas! :)

  12. I mulled over this pattern and didn't get it - can't remember why - but your top makes me rethink that decision. Very cute, and def. very nautical.

  13. Well, I mulled it over, and then I muddled through!:) I've never really followed the directions to the letter. They are slightly confusing!:)
