Floral patterns in a Grey Sky

This was a boys shirt that was too small for my brother. So I took it and turned it into this! The t-shirt fabric was too soft to pass up and the colors are great! The pocket is a square of jean fabric from an old pair of jeans. The neckline is a little big in comparison to the rest of the shirt, and I don’t know why…. hopefully he’ll grow into it. Excuse the faces; my nephew didn’t want his picture taken!:)

Dismal

Here it is! Proof I have not disappeared!:) I do think I have lost my creativity mojo, though. I’ve kind of hit a dead spot, inspiration wise. I was so excited about my break from school, cuz then I would have time to sew. And now, I have nothing to show for it but a few projects. I have some ideas, but no desire to make them. Oh, well. Hopefully I’ll get some motivation soon.

This shirt is made from a men's Aeropostale button up shirt. I just used this pattern as a base, then added some details. The chest pocket on the original shirt became a pocket on this one. I thought the dog was  really cute. However, it turned out a little smaller than I wanted, so I will probably end up selling it.Purple 013 Purple 016 Purple 015 Purple 014

The word Blue

My sister recently acquired these pants. They are really cute, but reallly white. And white is never a good color for my sister… mainly because they don’t stay that way for long!:)

So, an obvious thing to do was to dye them! I was a little hesitant, because I haven’t dyed very many things. I really didn’t want to ruin them or have them turn out patchy. But, I am very pleased with how it turned out! If I do so say myself!:)
